The Problem

Communication switch equipment manufacturers require clean environments with static free floor coatings that dissipate electric charges. Floor wax specifically compounded to meet this requirement is required for communication rooms.

 

The Solution

Preparing a switch room floor first involves carefully cleaning the tile surface. We scrub the narrow aisles on our hands and knees and use a machine only in wide open areas. Once the dirt and silicone coating have been removed, two coats of static free wax are applied.

After allowing the wax to harden, high speed buffers with filters may be employed to give a high gloss shine.

Regular maintenance is timed to match room traffic and involves scrubbing up spots, spotting with wax, and rebuffering as required.
