Triple Cleaning - 3C

The Problem

Data Center managers know that the sub-floor plenum must be kept clean and that the risks associated with this task prohibit the use of the regular custodial staff.

The Solution

Data Center Cleaning Staff

The first part of the solution is in the selection of the people to do the cleaning. Day labor will not suffice. While the tasks are simple, each operation must be undertaken by an associate with the intelligence to appreciate the financial risks involved, the integrity to work carefully to pursue dirt and trash in the most awkward locations, and the stamina to endure until the whole job is done. Our associates are trained specifically in the cleaning of high risk spaces and equipped with HEPA vacuums to prevent dirt from being reintroduced to the room as an aerosol. Their knowledge and experience regarding what to touch and how to touch elements of a computer room is essential. Just the art of picking up and replacing the floor tile without damage must be learned and practiced. Under floor cleaning involves gently lifting cables, knowing how and where to stand, and a host of special tools. Most managers rightly fear the use of water in their data center because mops slop water uncontrollably. We favor scrubbing on our hands and knees instead of swinging dirty and dangerous mops! This is the most careful way to clean. It minimizes the use of water while maintaining excellent water control. Hand scrubbing gives the best and most careful results of any cleaning method.

Our objective is to get the dirt into our buckets and vacuums and then to haul it out of the room!

BONUS!

On our very first job we realized that what our associates observed in a data center had potential value to our client managers. Our associates clean 100% of the underfloor plenum in a very organized way and as they do they note unused receptacles, leaks, wiring practice and holes in the floor or walls. We combined this reporting opportunity with another management need: an up-to-date scale layout of their data center. The result is a graphic reporting method that exactly locates each recorded observation. This unique value-added feature of our Triple Cleaning service provides comfort and satisfaction for our clients.

Reasons

Those of us who work in filthy computer rooms need little further justification for careful and excellent cleanig of these critical spaces. For those who might ask why a professional cleaning service specific to high tech spaces is essential, we offer the following:

ESPRIT de CORPS

"Inspiring enthusiasm, devotion and strong regard for the honor of the group." When the floor looks sloppy your people and vendors will act accordingly. One of our pleasures (that we know you will share) is feeling the rise in morale when a messy room gets cleaned.

ASSOCIATE VALUES

Our associates come with extensive experience in data centers. Cleaning data centers, communications rooms and clean rooms is our only business. Most of our associates are degreed and collectively we have a working knowledge of indoor air quality control, Liebert systems, fire suppression systems, floor tile management techniques, data center design and electrical cable management. Our associates credentials and values are woven throughout our cleanings.

MAGNETIC MEDIA

The very name says what it is...magnetic. Fine dust passes through conventional vacuum cleaner bags and then floats out as an aerosol until attracted to your magnetic media. The risks associated with the dust stirred up by mops, brooms and single stage vacuums are not tolerable in high tech spaces storing magnetic media. All of our vacuums have HEPA filtration.

IMPRESSIONS

Your critical rooms reflect your corporate image and management style to your peers, senior management and your clients. In this age where every business is dependent upon the reliability of their computing and communicating operations, it is very important that your computer rooms give a positive impression.
