While the tasks are simple, each operation must be undertaken by an associate with the intelligence to appreciate the financial risks involved, the discipline to work carefully, the integrity to pursue dirt and trash in the most awkward locations and the stamina to endure until the whole job is done. Our associates are trained specifically in the cleaning of high risk spaces and equipped with HEPA vacuums to prevent dirt from being reintroduced into the room as an aerosol. Their knowledge and experience regarding what not to touch and how to touch elements of a computer room is essential. Just the art of picking up and replacing the floor tile without damage must be learned and practiced. Most managers rightly fear the use of water in their data center because mops slop water uncontrollably. We eschew the use of mops in favor of scrubbing the floor on our hands and knees! This is the most careful way to clean. It minimizes the use of water while maintaining excellent water control. Hand scrubbing gives the best and most careful results of any cleaning method.

Our objective is to get the dirt into our buckets or vacuums and then to haul it out of the room!

 

Security

Many conventional custodians are fine people and we would be glad to have them on our team...but not all. The ads for custodians are omnipresent, offer minimum wage and hope the applicants don't have a jail record. The people change frequently and what leadership there is is usually cleaning in another part of the facility. This may be good enough for general office cleaning but it introduces unacceptable risks in a high tech room.

Developing Your Cleaning Program

Probably our most frequently used program is a monthly program consisting of one Triple Cleaning (3/C), one Double Cleaning (2/C) and 10 Single Cleanings (1/C). It is for you to decide which level of frequency best suits your corporate style and budget: bi-weekly, quarterly or monthly. Then review with our scheduler the time of month, the day of the week and time of day. Your cleaning schedule will be printed and in your hands at the start of each season. After your review and approval, you can count on our courteous associates arriving as scheduled and doing their traditional excellent cleaning job. Sure, you sometimes have to call and change or cancel, and so do we, but what little of that is required, we handle.
